Survivorship donates to South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation

Contribution is third donation to foundation91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s oncology campaign

The Survivorship Dragon Boat team has presented the South Okanagan Similkameen Medical Foundation with its third donation in support of the $10 million oncology campaign.

The team members are breast cancer survivors who have been dragon boating together from April to October for more than two decades.

This year, the journey included participating in three dragon boat festivals, including one in Barcelona, Spain.

Understanding that cancer will affect one in two people during their lifetimes, the team members chose to continue supporting the foundation91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s campaign. The donation also coincided with the foundation91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Giving Tuesday initiative, where contributions were matched, maximizing their impact.

Since 2002, the Survivorship team has donated more than $68,000, demonstrating their commitment to advancing quality healthcare in the South Okanagan Similkameen region.
