A robbery suspect was expected to appear in a Kelowna courtroom today (April 11) facing potential charges after being arrested Friday.
On April 8, at 9:46 a.m., the Kelowna RCMP received a report of a theft just committed at the House of Knives in Orchard Park Mall. The suspect is alleged to have gone behind the counter to steal a large-edged weapon. The suspect then allegedly threatened to harm the staff member on site if they called security, before fleeing on foot out of the mall towards Cooper Road.

The suspect, a 21-year-old Kelowna man, was taken into custody without incident. He was remanded into police custody over the weekend. He faces potential charges of robbery and fail to comply with a probation order.
