A man banned from the Penticton Indian Band land is set to go to trial in September for six counts of alleged sexual assault.
Donald Wayne Ashley appeared in Penticton Supreme Court on Aug. 8 for a voir dire ahead of his trial on Sept. 16.
Ashley was barred from going onto PIB land in 2023 as part of an undertaking that also barred him from contacting his alleged victims.
The case is under a publication ban to protect the identities of the alleged victims.
During a hearing in 2023, the court heard the allegations against Ashley were that he was in the practice of providing 91裸聊视频渉ealing therapy91裸聊视频� in the context of Indigenous cultural practices and while providing that therapy allegedly sexually assaulted the individuals.
