Update: The Kelowna RCMP now say a fire at a recycling plant in the city late Thursday night was "suspicious."
On Friday, the police were still as the scene in the 100-block of Cambro Road.
According to police, the initial findings at the scene were that two pallets loaded with packed recycling material was set ablaze. No structures were affected by the fire, which was contained to the two pallets.
"The blaze is being considered suspicious and fire investigators with both the RCMP and the Kelowna Fire Department are expected to examine the scene today," said the RCMP in a news release Friday issued afternoon

Original story: A fire late Thursday night at a recycling centre on Cambro Road in Kelowna was knocked down quickly by firefighters.
According to the Kelonwa Fire Departments, at approximately midnight Thursday, it received a 911 call reporting two large fires at the Cascades recycling plant, located in the 100-block of Cambro.
When firefighters arrived they quickly extinguished the flames. No other buildings or property were involved.
As a result of the fire, the KFD is reminding members of the public to dispose of any smoking materials in a proper manner.
