Gino Alfonso Silano died suddenly at his residence in West Kelowna, B.C. on Sunday, July 7th, 2019 at the age of 47 years. There will be no formal funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 504 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. V1Y 5X1, in memory of Gino.
Gino was born in Revelstoke, B.C. on March 3, 1972, grew up here, moved to Penticton and had been a resident of West Kelowna for the past three years. He enjoyed road biking, tennis, and music, especially Metallica. Gino was a beautiful guitar player and could also play any stringed instrument. He had a special connection to animals, especially cats and birds.
Gino was predeceased by his niece Jasmine. He is survived by his parents, John and Carol Silano of Revelstoke; siblings: Stan (Bonnie) Thiessen of Revelstoke, John (Crystal) Silano of Vancouver and Rob (Lindy) Silano of Revelstoke; nieces & nephews: Juan, Darcy, Angelina, Damon, Amanda and Abril; as well as great nieces Natalie, Elaina and MilaniRayne and great nephew Romero.
