John David Hurst, 96, known as Jack by his many friends, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2018 in Vernon, B.C. At 96 years young Jack was still a valued dancing partner and a friend to all who knew him.

Jack is survived by his sister Kathleen of Winnipeg, Manitoba, his daughter Barbara Van Fraassen and son-in-law Cornelis (Kees) Van Fraassen of Vernon.

Jack's wife Helen (2006) and son, David (1984) predeceased him.

The family intends to have a celebration of his life at a Schubert Centre dance close to July 23, 2018 which would have been Jack's 97th Birthday.
