June 10, 1929 - January 30, 2025
In loving memory ~
June 10, 1929 ~ January 30, 2025
Norm was a devoted Christian, knowing that one day he would be called to his real home in Heaven. Jesus took his hand and lead him on that journey on January 30th, 2025 at the age of 95. Norm passed away peacefully at Hardy View Lodge in Grand Forks, BC with his wife Lorraine, of 60 years, at his bedside.
He was born to August and Amanda Schneider on June 10, 1929 and grew up on the family farm alongside his brothers Vick, Eugene, and Morley near Bruderhein, Alberta. Norm worked for the city of Edmonton as a supervisor of the Land Appraisal Department.
After retirement, Norm and Lorraine moved to Kelowna, BC where they spent their next 30 years. Their home was always full of family, friends and neighbours and their yard full of plants and flowers (which were the talk of the neighbourhood). Norm and Lorraine loved travelling the world. They loved life, woke happy every morning knowing how blessed they were. Norm raised his 3 boys; Greg, Terry and Kim to love Jesus and they all know that someday they will be called to his real home.
Norm is survived by his wife Lorraine, sons Greg (Maria), Terry (Lori who is with Jesus), Kim (Deby), 8 grandchildren; Jennifer, Ryan, Alana, Heather, Lucas, Kate, Jesse, Cody, their spouses and 12 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service was held at Christ Lutheran Church in Grand Forks on Monday, February 10th, 2025 at 11:00 am.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Grand Forks Funeral Home gffh@shaw.ca.
