The Central Okanagan Minor Baseball Association (COMBA) gathered April 30 at Edith Gay Park to celebrate big news coming from the Toronto Blue Jays.

Live on Sportsnet, Kelowna was announced as a Field of Dreams grant recipient through the Jays Care Foundation. The city is getting a grant of $72,500 to update the baseball diamond at Edith Gay Park.

The city91裸聊视频檚 Sport and Event Services Manager Doug Nicholas said upgrades to the diamond will start immediately.

Plans include safety upgrades, increased accessibility, irrigation, and improving the overall quality of the fields.

After the announcement, families were invited to hang out and enjoy ice cream and other snacks.

Kelowna was one of 14 Field of Dreams recipients across the country.
