The Kelowna Rockets may be on their holiday break but the front office isn't as they've signed their 3rd round pick from the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.
On Friday, Dec. 20, the team announced they signed Gabriel Guilbault to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement contract.
"We are excited to have Gabriel join our team after Christmas," said Rockets President and General Manager Bruce Hamilton. "We feel he will bring depth to our existing group of defencemen at this time."
Guilbault played the last two and a half seasons in the BCHL with the Penticton Vees and Langley Rivermen. In 103 career BCHL games, he posted 36 points.
"I am really excited for the opportunity to join a franchise with so much history such as the Rockets," said Guilbault. "I can't wait to put that uniform on and contribute to the team's success."
The Rockets are back in action on Saturday, Dec. 28 as they host the Kamloops Blazers at 7:05 p.m. at Prospera Place.
