A couple of Kelowna Rockets are getting the chance to represent their country at the 2025 World Junior Hockey Championships.
Forward Jakub Stancl and defenceman Marek Rocak have been named to Czechia's 27-man roster for the prestigious tournament, which takes place from Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Ottawa.
Stancl, who had 32 points (11 goals, 21 assists) in 26 games this season suited up in the tournament for Czechia last year where he had four goals and two assists in seven games as they won bronze.
Rocak is one of three Rockets to play in all 27 games so far this season. He has one goal and 15 assists.
Czechia is carrying 15 forwards, nine defencemen, and three goalies.
Additionally, they are in Group B along with Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and Kazakhstan. Group A includes Canada, the United States, Finland, Germany and Latvia.
