A Penticton skier will forever have her name on the Rob Boyd Cup.

Leah Evans of the Apex Ski Club won the inaugural event last weekend in Whistler, which was for U16 athletes across the province.

Evans won on the women's side, with Eric Kratsev of the Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club in North Vancouver capturing the cup in the men's category.

The event, held on Feb. 21 and 22, was hosted by the Whistler Ski Club. It was named after Vernon alpine skier Rob Boyd, who competed for Canada at 1988 Winter Olympics.

"The team battled hard, showing resilience and growth, with some great results along the way," said Apex ski team head coach Jorgen Anderson. "Leah91裸聊视频檚 overall win was a testament to tough skiing, and having her name etched on the Rob Boyd Cup was the perfect icing on the cake.91裸聊视频�

Liv Evans, Sophia Jaron-Flower and Eugene Roche also represented the Apex Ski Club at the provincial event, with all three skiers registered top-20 finishes.

"Challenging" weather conditions last weekend in Whistler forced organizers to change the format of the cup from a speed to slalom event.

Boyd, 59, was on hand to present awards and share words of encourage with the skiers after the event.
