Dillon Dube scored twice, including the game winner, as the Kelowna Rockets defeated the Victoria Royals 5-4 in WHL action Saturday night at Prospera Place.
Nick Merkley added a goal and two assists for the Rockets, who ended a two-game slump and were playing their fifth game in seven days.
Kole Lind and Justin Kirkland, with a shorthanded marker, built up a 4-1 lead before the Royals rallied to make a game of it in the third.
Michael Herringer earned the win in net with 29 saves as the Rockets pushed their league-leading record to 28-10-2-0.
The Rockets are now idle until next weekend when they will play home games Friday and Saturday nights at Prospera Place against Everett Friday and Tri-City Saturday.
