Cross country skiers rejoice - the trails are opening early.
SilverStar Mountain Resort is opening 17 kilometres of nordic trails on Friday, Nov. 15 (ahead of the Nov. 22 scheduled opening).

The trails will be groomed and ready to ski on from 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The open nordic terrain is all in the upper mountain with early season conditions and only select trails having set tracks.
Trails can be accessed from Cross Mountain, Cabin and Paradise Trails and nordic skiers can return through Paradise Trail and Mainstreet. Alder Point will remain closed until further notice and the Gondola will not be operating.
This coming weekend, SilverStar Winter Season Passholders are invited to a special open house day to get ready for winter. General manager Herwig Demschar will be on site and the mountain91裸聊视频檚 new short film Heart Core that celebrates SilverStar's community members will be screened.
SilverStar passholders will also receive a free beer compliments of Okanagan Springs Brewing when they show their winter season pass at the Red Antler.
"Come on up, check out all the snow, have lunch, pick up your season pass, go for a nordic ski or simply enjoy the beauty of the winter village," Sutherland says.
SilverStar continues to monitor the snowfall for the scheduled alpine opening on Friday, Nov. 29.
Upper Nordic trails are open for use from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily and recommended for intermediate and advanced skiers only.
Sovereign Lake Nordic Centre trails are also open.
