The Kelowna United (Greenhough) U15 girls earned their most convincing win of the young Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League season, shutting out Penticton 4-0 Sunday in Rutland.
Ashlyn Eisenkrein made a great pass to Kaley Krivoshein for the opening goal 10 minutes in to make it 1-nil. In the second half, Krivoshein was hauled down on a breakaway, with the resulting PK goal putting Kelowna ahead 2-0. Penticton came close to scoring on a penalty kick after a collision between a hard-charging keeper Tayshja Clark and the Penticton attacker, but Tayshja made a big save to preserve her clean sheet. Krivoshein, with her third of the game, and Eisenkrein rounded out the scoring for KU.
