Friday night wasn't the West Kelowna Warriors' night as they fell 4-1 to the Trail Smoke Eaters.
After a scoreless first period at Cominco Arena on Nov. 15, the Smoke Eaters got goals from Josh Evaschesen and Dylan Lariviere in the second period, and led 2-0 after two.
Jackson Kyrkostas got the Warriors on the board at the 11:55 mark of the third period to cut the deficit to one. The goal was assisted by Sam LeDrew and Nathan Drapeau.
But Trail put the game away quickly as just 1:25 later, they responded with two goals in 48 seconds from Jack Ziliotto and Callas Pierce, making it 4-1.
Warriors goaltender Dawson Labre suffered the loss, making 34 saves.
With the loss, West Kelowna fell to 6-9-3-1 on the season. They'll look to get back in the win column on Saturday night as they return to Royal LePage Place and welcome the Okotoks Oilers to town. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
