After falling in a mid-week matchup last Wednesday, the West Kelowna Warriors are back to their winning ways.

On Friday, Oct. 20, the Warriors got revenge on the Vernon Vipers by taking the second half of a home-and-home series with a 4-1 win.

At the Kal Tire Place, the Warriors were up 1-0 going into the third period and then it turned into the Felix Caron show. The Terrebonne, QC native scored three goals in the period to collect his first career BCHL hat-trick. It was his fourth, fifth, and sixth goals of the season to give the Warriors the win.

It was an easy night for Warriors goaltender Rorke Applebee, who made 15 saves to earn his fifth win of the year.

After the Friday night win, the team travelled to Seattle where the BCHL is holding their annual showcase. The Warriors played their first game of the showcase on Monday, Oct. 23, collecting a 4-2 win, against the Langley Rivermen.

The Warriors found themselves down 2-0 after the first period but were back within one after two periods of play as Trent Wilson found the back of the net late in the second. The West Kelowna exploded for three goals in the third period.

Just 1:34 into the period, Caron continued his great play of late, scoring his seventh of the season. He would then assist on Isaiah Norlin91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s third goal of the season, which gave the Warriors a 3-2 lead. Jack Pridham added an empty netter to seal the game for West Kelowna.

Justin Katz made 25 saves in the win.

With the two wins, the Warriors are 8-2-1, second in the BCHL91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Interior Conference behind Penticton. West Kelowna finishes the showcase on Tuesday, Oct. 24 when they take on the Victoria Grizzlies.

After the showcase, the team will return home for a few days of practice before heading to Cranbrook to take on the Bucks on Saturday, Oct. 28.
