Sold: Chilliwack91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s iconic pink car auctioned off for $9,250

Amount will be doubled by auction company for donation to Chilliwack Salvation Army

Chilliwack91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s iconic pink car has a new owner.

The 1973 Plymouth Gold Duster that was a beacon along the highway west of town for decades was auctioned off Thursday morning (April 4) for $9,250. That amount will be matched by Beekman Auctions, and the total of $18,500 will be donated to the Chilliwack Salvation Army.

The car had been on the auction lot since Feb. 27, as part of Beekman91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Spring 2024 Equipment Auction.

The final bidding day opened with at $5,250, with a flurry of activity in the final minutes and bidding increments of $250.

The website does not identify the bidders in any way, but there was a total of 66 bids.

The car has no engine, transmission or registration, and had been used as signage for Pick-a-Part auto wreckers for decades.
