The Penticton Vees' second annual Season of Giving produced generous results for those in need across the community.
Through several fundraiser events dating back to the start of November, the BCHL club says it helped raise $3,500 in donations, more than 3,400 pounds of food, 1,500 stuffed toys, over 1,100 winter outwear items for children and adults, and 200 packages of diapers.

The team's Season of Giving kicked off with the inaugural Feed the Need Food Drive on Nov. 1, as the Vees hosted the Blackfalds Bulldogs at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
It continued the Coats for Kids campaign before concluding with the popular Teddy Bear Toss on Dec. 6, in support of the Penticton Salvation Army Community Food Bank and Shop of Wonders.
The team thanked Market Place IGA, Summerland IGA, RE/MAX in the South Okanagan, Bannister Chevrolet, Bannister Kia, the South Okanagan Events Centre, and volunteers for helping make the holiday campaign a success.
"We are very grateful for our campaign partners who continue to step up and give back to those in need," Rodgers said.
The Vees won't return to the ice until Dec. 28, when they welcome the Blackfalds Bulldogs back to the SOEC.
