Boys and Girls Club (BCG) Okanagan has been serving children, youth, and families for 65 years now and to celebrate it has started a new year-end fundraiser.
The organization says there is an urgent need for its Upstream and Youth Shelter programs to be able to continue and be available to young people in the Okanagan.
The Upstream program offers free and accessible wellness support and resources to keep youth in a stable home, preventing possible school disengagement and youth homelessness. The Youth Shelter program ensures immediate support and a safe place for youth in or facing a crisis and helps them find a secure place.
To celebrate its 65th birthday and keep these programs going, BCG Okanagan is offering two WestJet airline tickets to wherever the airline flies, for anyone who signs up to become a monthly donor.
From now until Dec. 31 at 2 p.m., anyone who signs up, with their name will go into a draw for a chance to win the two airline tickets. The first 65 people to sign up will receive a second entry, doubling their chances to win.
