Rutland is ready for the holidays.

The annual light up was held at Kelowna's Rutland Centennial Park on Dec. 1.

From 3 to 4 p.m. families could check out vendors, do some crafting, grab chili from the Salvation Army, meet with members of the RCMP, and get a photo with Santa.

At 4:15 p.m. Mayor Tom Dyas and other dignitaries helped to flip the switch at Santa's count down to light up the large Christmas tree next to the park stage.

The tree will remain lit throughout the season.
