A Kelowna chef is going for one of Canada91裸聊视频檚 top honours.

Neil Taylor, the executive chef at Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery is getting the chance to be named the top chef in Canada. He has been chosen to represent the Okanagan at Canada91裸聊视频檚 Great Kitchen Party91裸聊视频檚 Canadian Culinary Championship (CCC), which brings the gastronomic community together to connect and celebrate the country91裸聊视频檚 top talent.

He beat out other local chefs during a regional competition in fall 2023 to get the chance to compete in the culinary championship. The Kelowna chef won gold at the regional championship by making his Coppa di testa - peaches, brussels, mushrooms and truffle, which was paired with Cedar Creek91裸聊视频檚 2020 Naramata Ranch Pinot Noir.

This year91裸聊视频檚 CCC is taking place on Feb. 2 to 3 in Ottawa, Ont. Taylor will be competing against chefs from Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and St. John91裸聊视频檚. All 10 chefs will compete in a mystery wine competition, a black box challenge, and a grand finale.

In the mystery wine competition (taking place on the Friday night), the competitors will be tasked with making a meal that pairs with an unlabelled wine they receive less than 24 hours before the contest starts.

The black box competition is taking place on Saturday morning (Feb. 3) and is being held at the La Cit茅 Culinary School. Additionally, the grand finale will be taking place on Saturday night at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
