The fate of the Fast and the Furious franchise was put into question following the tragic death of Paul Walker just prior to the completion of Furious 7. However, not long after that movie was released it became one of the fastest movies to reach the one-billion-dollar mark worldwide and it was clear that the series was going to continue.

In The Fate of the Furious, Walker91Ƶs character Brian has retired (it was considered that his younger brother Cody Walker step into Paul91Ƶs role but the filmmakers decided against it) and the rest of the team are tying to lead a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar-winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) back into the world of crime, he betrays those who are closest to him.

Continuing the globe-trotting tradition of the series, this one takes you from the shores of Cuba to New York City to the icy plains of the arctic, the team must literally race around the world to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos and bring home the man who made them a family. Returning to the series is Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris 91ƵLudacris91Ƶ Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel and Kurt Russell and joining the series is Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray, best known for Straight Outta Compton and previously worked with Vin Diesel on A Man Apart, Dwayne Johnson on Be Cool and with Charlize Theron and Jason Statham on The Italian Job.

April 19 is Canada Film Day and the Grand 10 will be featuring An American Dream: The Education of William Bowman. Gemini award-winner Ken Finkleman has as reputation in Canadian television for cynical political satires like The Newsroom, At the Hotel, Good Dog and Good God and now he points his camera at the American political system. His particular brand of satire cuts close to the bone and this comedy about William Bowman, an enthusiastic college graduate who gets a job in high finance thanks to his gun-crazy father. While he is finding success in the company, he accidentally discovers a government cover-up and things start going a bit haywire. Suddenly beset by gun-crazed zealots, fundamentalist preachers and reality TV hucksters, he must keep himself alive and out of trouble.

And then on April 20, the Grand 10 presents Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead. Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter, The Woman in Black), Joshua McGuire (The Hour) and David Haig (Four Weddings and a Funeral) star in Tom Stoppard91Ƶs brilliantly funny situation comedy, broadcast live from The Old Vic theatre in London. Against the backdrop of Hamlet, two hapless minor characters, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, take centre stage. As the young double act stumble their way in and out of the action of Shakespeare91Ƶs iconic drama, they become increasingly out of their depth as their version of the story unfolds.
