Kelowna's Rotary Centre for the Arts will debut Mark Rucker's The Alterpiece in its Alternator Centre for Contemporary Arts on Nov. 19.
The piece, a contemporary version of a Medieval triptych, was completed in Peachland in 2021, 35 years after the piece was first started.
Rucker's work was inspired by German artist Mathias Grunewald.
91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵœGrunewald91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s masterpiece was created in the early16th Century, not so much a work of art as regarded by art historians, but as a medical, healing device, which was much needed in that day and age," said Rucker.
The piece will be on display from Nov. 19-24. Rucker will be available throughout the week to discuss the work.
