Kelowna RCMP have confirmed to Capital News that officers responded to a call involving firearms in the 200-block of Poonian Road in Rutland.
Police said one person suffered a gunshot wound and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP are still investigating.

The reason for their presence is not yet known.
An ambulance is also on scene. One person was treated for minor injuries.
