Central Okanagan property owners looking at 8.5 per cent tax hike

Property owners in the Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) can have a say on the proposed 8.5 per cent tax increase they are facing.

The RDCO board is preparing its 2024-2028 five-year financial plan and looking for comments.

91裸聊视频淭he development of a five-year financial plan ensures that the RDCO makes the best use of our resources, is transparent about financial decision making, and is financially stable into the future,91裸聊视频 explained Tania McCabe, director of financial services.

The RDCO is looking at a $4.1 million increase to its operating budget, from $61.4 million to $ 65.6 million.

The financial plan schedule is outlined below, and each session is live-streamed and recorded:

  • Thu. Jan. 25 - 8:30 a.m. (initial presentation);
  • Thu. Feb. 8 - 8:30 a.m. (in-person comments);
  • Thu. Feb. 12 - 8:00 a.m. (deadline for comments);
  • Thu. Feb. 22 - 8:30 a.m. (feedback presented);
  • Thu. Mar. 14 - 8:30 a.m. (plan approval);
  • Thu. Mar. 28 - 8:30 a.m. (bylaw adoption).
