A local MMA fighter is making the jump from amateur to professional fighting.
Rylie 'The Coyote' Marchand will be competing in her first professional bout on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the COGA Combat Games 85 in Suquamish, Washington.
She will be grappling with Lorren Dullum from the United States. Dullum, 33, is 1-1 in her professional MMA career and 4-3 in her amateur career.
The 23-year-old Marchand's most recent fight was in Vernon at the inaguaral , where she submitted opponent Stephanie Lehecka with a rear-naked choke in the first round.
Marchand, who is from the Okanagan Indian Band, was 6-1 in her amateur career.
