The City of Kelowna has purchased Michaelbrook Golf Course.

The $8.37 million purchase price for the 53-acre property at 1085 Lexington Drive was funded by the General Parkland Acquisition Reserve. 

91裸聊视频淢ichaelbrook Golf Course and will remain fully operational as a golf course through a lease with a third-party operator,91裸聊视频� the media release states.

Several residents have written to council and local media outlets urging that the city purchase Kelowna Springs Golf Course.

On Dec. 3 2024, a statement from Mayor Tom Dyas said staff were directed to explore options for acquiring the property at 480 Penno Road to preserve it as a recreational space. This included discussions with the property owner and consideration of continuing its use as a golf course.

91裸聊视频淒espite our best efforts, the city was unable to reach an agreement with the property owner for acquisition,91裸聊视频� Dyas said in the statement. "We want to be clear; the property in question is privately owned by Denciti Development Corp., who is currently not a willing vendor.91裸聊视频�

Two days later, Denciti released its own statement indicated that redevelopment plans for the site would be presented in early 2025. 

91裸聊视频淥ur development application will bring together a mix of employment and recreation spaces, offering much-needed jobs while significantly enhancing year-round recreational use of the property,91裸聊视频� CEO Garry Fawley said at the time.

Kelowna Springs is expected to operate as nine-hole golf course in 2025.
