The walk started at Kerry Park

Ukrainians in Kelowna held a 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ˜Walk of Honor91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™ on Defenders Day to honour the sacrifices people have made to defend Ukraine.

The event took place on Saturday, Oct. 14, in Kelowna, Vancouver, Nanaimo, and Castlegar.

In Kelowna, around 50 people showed up to the event which started at Kerry Park.

The event was put on by the Maple Hope Foundation and was raising money to send high-technology medical devices to the Ukraine.

Kelowna city council member Ron Cannan was at the event and took part in the walk.
