UPDATE 8:24 a.m.

One person has been taken to hospital as a result of a "serious incident" in the 700-block of Saucier Avenue. 

RCMP as well as the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT), and emergency services attended the scene. 

Around 7:30 a.m., ERT and an ambulance left the scene, but many officers remain as the investigation continues. 

It remains unknown what happened to cause injury to the person.

This is no danger to the public's safety.

Kelowna RCMP are at a home on Saucier Avenue. 

Police tape is up around the house in the 700-block of Saucier Ave. and several officers are at the scene.

RCMP confirm they were called the area around 4:15 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 24) but have not yet said why.
