The story that most engaged Lake Country readers in March was a large drug and money seizure by the RCMP.
On March 4, a Mountie pulled over a concerning vehicle at Carrs Landing Road, the officer91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s instincts to investigate the vehicle were right, as they noticed drug paraphernalia and suspected drugs through the window as they approached.
The driver and the two passengers were all arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Inside the vehicle was:
- Approximately 18 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 48 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Prescription pills
- Several thousand dollars of Canadian currency
- One digital scale
