The Kelowna Rockets losing streak was extended to four games on Tuesday night (Nov. 7) in Kennewick, WA.

As they tried to get back into the win column, the Rockets gave up a two-goal lead, losing to the Tri-City Americans 4-3.

Kelowna had a great start to the game, getting goals from captain Gabriel Szturc and Ty Hurley within the first 4:15 of the game. Andrew Cristall and Max Graham assisted on Szturc91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s goal while Trae Johnson and Marek Rocak collected the helpers on Hurley91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s second goal of the year.

Up 2-1 going into the second period, Graham found the back of the net on the powerplay early in the second period to make it 3-1 Rockets. Szturc and Rocak collected the assists.

Despite the great start to the game, the saying goes 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ˜It91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s not how you start, it91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s how you finish91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™. The Americans stormed back in the second half of the game, getting goals halfway through the second period and in the final minute of the frame to tie the game 3-3 going into the third.

Almost halfway through the third period, Cruz Pavao scored his second goal of the game to give the Americans the lead and eventually the win. Tri-City forward Max Curran collected three assists in the win.

The Rockets threw everything they could at Tri-City goaltender Kyle Kelsey, who made 34 saves in the win. Jake Pilon made 26 saves in the loss.

During the four-game losing streak, the Rockets have been outscored 13-5. They have fallen to eighth in the WHL91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Western Conference with a 7-8-1-0 record.

The Rockets four-game road trip continues in Everett on Friday night (Nov. 10) with puck drop at 7:05 p.m. Everett is fourth in the conference with a 9-7-1-0 record.
