The Kelowna Rockets are back on home ice on Wednesday night as they welcome the Portland Winterhawks to town.
Going into the Jan. 17 contest, the Rockets are coming off of a split in Prince George over the weekend. Depsite the split, the Rockets have won 13 of their last 18 games.
In their 3-2 shootout win on Saturday night, both Andrew Cristall and Gabriel Szturc collected two assists. Cristall, the Washington Capitals prospect is riding a 21-game point streak, in which he has 43 points. He91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s tied for fourth in WHL scoring with Portland91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Gabe Klassen with 70 points.
Milestone watch is also on going into Wednesday91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s game. Rockets captain Gabriel Szturc goes into tonight91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s contest with 173 career WHL points, tied with Vaclav Varada for most points by a European-born player in Rockets franchise history.
The Rockets are sixth in the WHL91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Western Conference with a record of 20-18-2-0 while Portland is 26-10-2-1, third in the west. The Winterhawks also come into the game on a hot streak as they are 8-1-1 in their last 10.
Puck drop at Prospera Place on Wednesday night is at 7:05 p.m.
