Highway 97A was closed for two hours on Friday, Nov. 29 following a head-on collision.
The incident happened at about 1 p.m. north of Swansea Point.
According to Sgt. Murray McNeil, a northbound SUV crossed the double solid line into the path of a southbound F150 causing extensive damage to both vehicles in the southbound lane.
The driver of the F150 had to be extracted from his truck by the Sicamous Fire Department.

All of those involved were transported to the hospital in Salmon Arm.
Highway 1, which was closed at the time for scheduled work at the Bruhn Bridge, had to be opened due to the closure of Highway 97A.
Highway 97A reopened by 3 p.m.
The driver of the SUV was issued a ticket for crossing a double solid line.
Police believe driver fatigue was a cause of the collision.
