RCMP investigating vandalism spree that included Naramata washrooms

The washrooms were closed twice already earlier in 2024 due to physical damage by vandals

Local RCMP and the Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen are looking into vandalism that hit the washrooms at Manitou Park in Naramata.

The RCMP are investigating what is believed to be a mischief spree through the community between 9 a.m. on Dec. 19 and 9 a.m. on Dec. 21 according to teh RDOS.

The interiors of the washrooms were covered with graffiti, and were closed over the weekend following the discovery of the vandalism.

The washrooms have now reopened to the public, but RDOS staff will return to cover up the graffiti.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300 and cite incident number 2024-800249.

The RDOS also noted that the same washrooms were closed twice in February of this year due to incidents of physical damage by vandals.
