Slippery conditions on Highway 97 across South Okanagan: DriveBC

Sixty per cent of chance rain or flurries across region, Environment Canada forecasts

DriveBC is reporting slippery sections along Highway 97 in the South Okanagan on Friday, Dec. 27.

Motorists are asked to watch for the conditions between Penticton and Summerland and from Kaleden to Osoyoos.

DriveBC is also warning of slippery sections on Highway 3A, between Green Mountain Road and Bobcat Road for 9.2 kilometres, and on Highway 3 from Keremeos through Osoyoos.

There is a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries on Friday across the region, according to Environment Canada.

The federal forecaster adds that daytime temperatures are expected to hover around 3 C.
