The Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt is expected 15-20 cm of snow starting Saturday night, Dec. 14.

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt.

The warning was issued at 1:51 p.m. on Dec. 14 as the stretch of highway is expecting 15-20 cm of snow starting Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Strong winds are also expected to occur.

Travellers should drive with caution as conditions can change quickly, visibility might be lowered, and the snow could rapidly accumulate.

"Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow," said Environment Canada.
