Telus to invest $40 million in Kelowna/West Kelowna service

Push to connect more home and businesses to Telus fibre optic network expansion.

TELUS will invest $40 million in new infrastructure and facilities in Kelowna and West Kelowna this year to connect more homes and businesses directly to the company's gigabit-enabled fibre optic network, increase wireless capacity to meet  growing demand, and to improve the reach, speed and capacity of its  high-speed Internet.

Thenvestment is part of an overall commitment by Telus to invest $4.5 billion in British Columbia through 2019 to extend fibre optic infrastructure directly to thousands of homes and businesses in rural and urban communities. By the end of 2019, Telus will have invested $51 billion across the province since the year 2000.
