A year and a half after lifting the Fred Page Cup for the Penticton Vees, Frank Djurasevic has captured an NCAA honour.

The 22-year-old, who played parts of the three seasons with the Vees from 2020 to 2023, was named the NCAA's Hockey East Defenceman of the Month.

Djurasevic, a current member of the University of Maine Black Bears, anchored a blue line that held opponents to just nine goals in eight November games.

The defenceman also scored three goals, the most of any player at his position, and added two assists to go along with his plus-four rating last month.

Djurasevic served as the Vees' captain during the team's 2022-2023 championship campaign.

In three BCHL seasons, the New Rochelle, N.Y. native recorded 85 points in 127 games.
