The Kelowna Rockets were able to strengthen the depth chart after selecting 11 players in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft on Wednesday, April 22.
The bantam draft represents the future for so many young players embarking on what they hope to be the start of a long and prosperous career. But on April 22 it also represented the end of an era for Rockets91裸聊视频 assistant general manager and director of player personnel Lorne Frey.

After 30 years of scouting and recruiting, Frey decided to step away as Rockets91裸聊视频 assistant GM, a choice that allows him to spend more time with family. And while his final task as GM was sure to be sentimental, it was business as usual.

With the 8th overall pick in the draft, the Rockets used their first selection to take left-wing Andrew Cristall from St. George91裸聊视频檚 School (CSSBHL).
Cristall, 15, spent last season with St. George91裸聊视频檚 School Bantam Prep, recording 80 points (43G, 37A) and 47 penalty minutes in 27 games. He added another seven points (4G, 3A) and two penalty minutes in two playoff games.

Frey said Cristall is a highly skilled player who makes those around him better.
