DriveBC is warning of black ice on Highway 1 in parts of the Shuswap, including Salmon Arm, on Saturday, Dec. 28.
The provincial road service says motorists should watch for black ice, slush with slippery sections and fog patches for 56.9 kilometres, between Waverly Park Frontage Road and Bernie Road.
Similar conditions are also being reported Saturday on Highway 1 between Chase and Kamloops, according to the provincial road service.
On Highway 97A south of Sicamous, meanwhile, DriveBC is reporting slippery sections for 9.6 kilometres.
Environment Canada says there's a 60 per cent chance of rain or flurries on Saturday afternoon in Salmon Arm.
Daytime temperatures are expected to hover around 2 C before dropping around 0 C overnight, the federal forecaster said.
