This doesn't happen very often during the hockey season but both the Kelowna Rockets and West Kelowna Warriors are in action on a Tuesday night.

The Rockets are on the road to take on the Spokane Chiefs while the Warriors are taking on their rivals, the Penticton Vees for the first time this season on Nov. 5.

It's been a strange stretch in the schedule for the Rockets as Tuesday night's match-up is their first game in 10 days, which was a 6-0 win against the Moose Jaw Warriors on Oct. 25.

Going into the contest, the Rockets remain at the bottom of the WHL's Western Conference with a record of 5-6-0-1 while Spokane has had a strong start to the season, sitting fourth in the conference at 10-7-0-0, but has only had four wins in their last 10 games.

Puck drop at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena is set for 7:05 p.m.

Meanwhile the Warriors are coming off of a tough start to the month of November, as they lost 4-1 to the Brooks Bandits and 6-1 to the Vernon Vipers over the weekend (Nov. 1 and 2). 

With the two losses, the Warriors sit at the bottom of the BCHL's Interior West standings with a record of 4-8-2-1. On Tuesday night, it's a rivalry reignited for the first time this season as Penticton comes to town. The Vees sit at the top of the Interior West at 11-4-0-0.

Puck drop will take place at 7 p.m. at Royal LePage Place.

This is the Warriors last home game before heading to Alberta for a weekend roadtrip.
