United sends 11 teams to provincials

The Kelowna United U18 boys won the TOYSL playoff title Sunday in Penticton.

Kelowna's rep soccer program will be well represented next month at the Provincial B Cup in both boys and girls competition.

Eleven Kelowna United teams have qualified for their respective provincial championships in West Vancouver (boys) and Penticton (girls).

United teams earned spots at the B Cup thanks to their performances last weekend at the Thompson Okanagan Youth Soccer League finals in Penticton.

Kelowna teams advancing, with coaches listed, are:

U13 boys91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”Jason Neale

U14 boys91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”Cam West

U16 boys91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”Dan Turner

U17 boys91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”David Lommer

U13 girls91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”Jill Lommer and Hank van de Leest

U14 girls91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”Mike Smith

U18 girls91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ”Mark Slade

The Provincial B Cup boys finals will be held July 7 to 10 in West Vancouver, while the girls playdowns will be held the same weekend in Penticton.
