The Okanagan Wild picked up a split in exhibition action over the weekend.
The Wild defeated Richmond 14-11 then lost 15-8 to Coquitlam. Wild coach Dan Chetner said the players competed well and gained valuable game experience.

Chetner has an eager group, but said their weakness is experience. He also said the coaching staff needs to re-inforce the basics and then develop team strategies to the proper level.

The Wild open the season against Coquitlam and Ridge Meadows on April 22 and 23, teams that Chetner said were in the top three last season.
