Penticton's newest brewery has officially opened its doors.

After several months of welcoming beer lovers to its backyard patio, Yellow Dog Brewing's taproom is now fully open to the public.

The Port Moody-based business, which serves up craft brews and a wide selection of food, can be found at 169 Estabrook Avenue in Penticton.

In December 2022, Yellow Dog said it was planning on moving into the downtown location.

Its announcement came as Bad Tattoo, the previous business at 169 Estabrook Avenue, ceased operations in the city.

Yellow Dog Brewing joins a long list of breweries to have Penticton taprooms: Tin Whistle, Cannery, Barley Mill, Neighbourhood, Highway 97, and Abandoned Rail.

Slackwater Brewing closed its taproom in October 2024, citing financial and operational challenges. Production and distribution of Slackwater beer has remained unaffected, the owners said.

Yellow Dog Brewing 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ” although not officially open until earlier this month 91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ” previously welcomed customers to its outdoor "Dog Park" seven days a week. 

Over the last two years, it also hosted after-parties for the annual Halloween-themed wiener dog parade.

Now open inside, the brewery says it offers food like smash burgers and Detroit-style pizza.

Its Penticton location is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to Yellow Dog's website.
