One of Western Canada91Ƶs largest and longest-running celebrations of beer is back in Penticton.

The 27th annual Okanagan Fest of Ale comes to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre (PTCC) on April 12 and 13, with 70 breweries and ciders from across the province set to come together and offer a total of 210 different beverages.

91ƵWe have an amazing lineup of beer, cider and food vendors this year,91Ƶ said Michael Stocker, president of the Okanagan Fest of Ale Society. 91ƵBrewers from all over the province will be making the trek to our beautiful city to partake in the festivities with lots of other events happening around town to accompany the Fest of Ale.91Ƶ

Along with indoors at the PTCC, event organizers said people will also get a chance to enjoy beverages and entertainment in the 91ƵHopyard,91Ƶ an outdoor space located outside the building.

The two-day event 91Ƶ which draws thousands of people to the city annually 91Ƶ will also feature live music and food vendors.

91ƵWe will have live music in the Hopyard and inside, activities, photo booths, all while tasting some of the finest brews on the market,91Ƶ Stocker said.

This year91Ƶs event will feature 91Ƶsomething for everyone,91Ƶ organizers added, including low-alcohol beers and hop waters to try.

Tickets are still available for purchase, as of Tuesday evening, April 9. They can be purchased at .

The event starts at 4 p.m. on Friday and at noon on Saturday.

All proceeds from the event go to local charities and non-profit organizations. More than $800,000 has been collected for non-profits, dating back to when the Fest of Ale Society started donating funds.

91ƵWe are always so grateful for our wonderful partners, sponsors and volunteers who support the Fest of Ale,91Ƶ Stocker added. 91ƵOperating as a not-for-profit, we try to save costs wherever we can and it truly takes a village. Thank you to everyone who pitches in and helps to make this festival a success every year.91Ƶ
