One Kelowna band is backing Elvis this weekend.
The fifth annual Canadian Bluemoon Elvis Festival91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s is held this coming weekend July 14 to 16 at the North Thompson Fall Fairgrounds in Barriere, B.C.
Headliner shows will be backed by Kelowna91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s own Cadillac Kings and The Uptown Hornz 10-piece band.
The festival is a non-profit event in support of two charities, the B.C. Wounded Warrior/First Responders Foundation and the Canadian Hemophilia Society, BC Chapter.
Friday night will kick off with a meet and greet followed by Vic Vaga from Las Vegas with a tribute to Rod Stewart.
Saturday morning opening ceremonies will be held by Elvis Tribute Artists.
Sunday morning will begin with a pancake breakfast prepared by Sun Peaks Rotary Club, followed by Elvis Gospel Music at 9 a.m.
Sunday afternoon will be filled with country music by Candy & Darla (The Judd91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s), Steve Hillis (One Man Show) and Ken Kirschner.
Byrd Dawg will perform Sunday night with a tribute to The Everly Brothers and Simon and Garfunkel. The festival will be closed out with the tribute artists, and the Elvis finale.
