Oliver is ready to rock in celebration of the official start of summer.
The town91Ƶs 91ƵRock and Roll Picnic91Ƶ brings its fifth annual edition to Oliver Community Park on June 20, the longest day of the year, from 6 to 10 p.m.
Live entertainment kicks off with Oliver91Ƶs own Sean Petersen, who is set to put his 91Ƶown spin on songs spanning all genres and eras,91Ƶ event organizers said.
Later, at 8 pm, it91Ƶs time to get out those dancing shoes because Penticton and Summerland91Ƶs Jack and Jill will hit the stage. The band typically plays some of the rock91Ƶs greatest hits from the 1970s to today.
Admission to the event includes a tasting of three gourmet hotdogs, with local chefs battling it out for who can claim the 91ƵTop Dog91Ƶ title.
Oliver91Ƶs Firehall Brewery will be pouring a selection of craft beers and beverage sales will also feature local wine and a selection of spritzers and coolers.
The event 91Ƶ which also features kids91Ƶ activities and games 91Ƶ serves as the main source of fundraising for the Oliver Roots & Fruits Expo, which takes place on June 23.
In 2023, the concert sold out in advance.
People are encouraged to buy their tickets ahead of time.
A ticket costs $25 for adults and $10 for students in advance. Children aged 10 and under get in for free.
