Nick Pelletier's historic challenge is set to hit the big screen in downtown Kelowna.
Over the years, the ultra-endurance athlete has attempted to swim the 106-kilometre length of Okanagan Lake, from Vernon to Penticton. After falling short the first two times due to injury, Pelletier completed the challenge for his third and final time in 2023, finishing the swim in 71 hours.
During all those attempts, a film crew was with him and his story has been turned into a documentary titled 'Sink or Swim', which will be shown at Bernie's Supper Club & Cinema.
The film will be shown on Saturday, Sept. 21, Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Saturday, Sept. 28.
For each showing, doors will open at 5:30 p.m., the film will start at 6:30 p.m., and afterwards, Pelletier and the directors of the movie will be there for a question and answer session.
Tickets are limited to 65 per showing and seating is booth-style in groups of five.
