UPDATE 5:30 p.m.
The Okanagan Connector has reopened but West Kelowna RCMP have confirmed one person died as a result of the crash.
Investigators at the scene have determined that a truck travelling westbound collided with a snow plow while attempting to pass.
The truck was occupied by a lone occupant and it is not clear how many people were in the snowplow.
"Road conditions played a significant factor in this collision," said Cpl. Michael Gauthier of the Kelowna RCMP.
The crash occurred on the Okanagan Connector, approximately 3 km west of Highway 97.
The highway was reopened at 4:30 p.m.
