A development permit for a 40-storey tower at 1355 St. Paul Street has been submitted to city hall.

The mixed-use building, being built by the Mission Group, features bachelor and one, two, and three-bedroom condos totaling 462 units, as well as 837 square metres of commercial space.

It is being built just down the street from Mission Group91ÂãÁÄÊÓƵ™s Bernard Block Office at 1499 St. Paul St., and near the UBC Okanagan Downtown Campus tower, being built by a different developer, at 550 Doyle Avenue.

The construction of that building has caused damage to surrounding businesses.
